I was very upset because I couldn't finish burning a DVD. I received media write errors at various stages of the burning process. Tried to write at different speeds - to no avail. After about 20 crashes with my 2010 iMac I got my 2012 Mac Book Air with USB Superdrive and everything works as expected, no errors. Several DVDs were completed with no problems. I still don't know why they don't work on the iMac. I've recorded many DVDs in the past with no problems. Maybe it's out of date =(. I left a 5 star review as I assume the problem is with the DVD drive in the iMac and not the DVDs themselves as I don't have any problems with the MBA and Super combo drive had, but I don't know for sure.
