The internal battery ensures a long runtime between charges. The picture quality is also excellent. You can also scan documents and then convert them to PDF or Word files if needed. It's the only product that's fully portable, so you're not tied to your computer while scanning. Also, you have the option to increase the space on the storage device you use to save your scanned files. I am very happy with this scanner. I highly recommend this product.
