Review on SANOXY SANOXY_EXT DVD ENCL External DVD CD RW Combo Drive Writer by Matt Tebow

I removed the SuperDrive from my Mac Mini to add a second hard drive (a used kit from OWC, worth every penny). This case has a faceplate that obviously won't work with a slot load drive, but I knew that when I bought it and it doesn't matter. The drive fits perfectly and there are two screw holes on the back of the case that tie everything together perfectly, they line up with the holes on the back of the drive. Everything was great with one small exception. On the inside of the case there are three small pads that press on top of the boot slot, this can cause the drive to rub against the drive (seen from the front, the drive bay bends a bit). I just took a knife and scraped the spacers to make the surface smooth and everything is fine. I'm tempted to take a star off for that, but at this price point I might not notice, especially as there seem to be rims that need these spacers to fit properly, so have rather than use in this case. Comes with a USB power port which I didn't need with my 2009 Macbook Pro, Macs seem to put out enough USB power for accessories. I'm glad I bought it over other expensive alternatives.
