Considering the price, this microscope is a good choice! My biggest complaint is that the image is compressed very noticeably to fit the screen. I was hoping that the menu would let you change the aspect ratio, but no such luck. When soldering, the two lights on the base greatly improve picture quality by illuminating the circuit from all sides. Using this soldering microscope was my main goal. To view a coin, the mount does not allow you to zoom out far enough to capture the entire coin. However, this is not a limitation of the sight itself, only the mount. If you somehow set the range further away, it wouldn't be a problem. However, the aspect ratio should be very annoying when viewing coins. Instead of a circle, the coins look like ovals. I haven't used this sight on my computer yet, but I assume it will fix the screen aspect ratio issue.
