Review on Black Walnut Rectangular Serving Trays, Medium Size (13.4 X 9 Inches), Bamber Wood by Jessica Hall

Arrived with a crack on one edge, near the middle. Items on the tray like a teapot or container with a cup or two of water make this fracture expand. Returned, unfortunately. The bottom is thinner than expected. It's not sanded smooth. The routed interior groove is rough with no sanded finish. I picked up splinters from the sides, top, bottom and edges. It is not carbonized bamboo ( and it wasn't advertised as such either ). I would never purchase it from a brick and mortar shop or store, mainly due to the lack of sanding, and the thin bottom. I can drive or ride down the street 6 miles or 10 km, and purchase carbonized bamboo, with a smooth non-splinter finish, or laminate maple or beech, about the same size, for about the same amount or only a few dollars more, and hevea laminate or composite for considerably less.
