It's not very clear.
Translucent is the best way to describe it, if there is little or a lot of detail on the surface it will be lost. Probably works well on spot colors. As others have said, the air bubbles are ridiculous, it's very brittle (you can just fold it up and rip it apart gently) and the glue isn't great at all. Get it for arts and crafts or whatever, don't bother with a skateboard.
