Review on DeltCycle Bike Storage Hoist: Auto-Locking Ceiling Rack & Hooks for Garage, 50 lb Capacity, Kayak Option, Hangers for Garage Ceiling up to 12 Ft by Amanda Smith

Ordered one of these a few months ago after some concerns about some reviews. After installing and using it for about two months I just ordered a second one for another bike. Comments: As others have said, the rope that comes with the kit is not of very good quality. I have to replace it soon. On the other hand, they give you a lot of rope for the high ceiling in the garage. Our ceiling is about 10-1/2 feet and I have spare rope. Contrary to some of the comments I had no problems with the screws. I pre-drilled the holes with a slightly smaller thread diameter and they went right in with some wax. The lifting hooks are one size fits all. They fit perfectly on my racing handlebars, however I had to improvise a bit to mount the seat but it worked. If you have a bag secured under your seat, you may need to use the rear hooks on the front of the seat, or both on one side. By the way, they are made of hardened steel and do not bend easily. Operation couldn't be easier. There may be a slight tendency to lift one end or the other, but light hand pressure on the tires evens the situation out. The clutch that prevents the rope from being pulled back during the ascent seems to work well. For the money, this elevator system works flawlessly. I took off a star for the weak rope - they could have done better.
