I originally bought this timer for cold showers. I heard about the benefits of cold showers and got tired of setting the timer on my phone at the end of the shower every day. First let me say that it is indeed waterproof! I've been carrying it with me in the shower or bath every day for about three months now. He is dripped or dropped into a small pool of water every day with no effect on him. It is also very easy to use. The time duration is clearly marked and quite intuitive. I also appreciate that the beep automatically turns off after ten seconds at the end. That way, if I feel like continuing with a cold shower, I can ignore it and it won't go on indefinitely. Finally, I appreciate how big the numbers are. I have poor eyesight and do not wear contact lenses when showering as the steam dries out my eyes. The numbers are big enough that I can see them without contacts. I don't have to wait for a timer to go off to know where I am in my freezing shower. It sounds ridiculous, but I liked the timer so much that I ended up buying another one for my 7 and 8 year old boys for their "two minute" brushing. You have no problem with that. It's a small thing, but it makes a big difference! If you're looking for a timer to use around water, you can't go wrong with this one!
