Great little slicer. I gave it 4 stars because I love its simple design, just one blade that's easy to clean. So many different vegetable gadgets are inconvenient and difficult to clean, but it's like an old German vegetable cutter I've had for 25 years that recently broke after using it a few times a week. I was a bit confused when I first received the Borner Disc Slicer because the packaging says that it needs to be used with another accessory (vegetable holder) that is not included and can be purchased separately, but I think so , it probably protects the company from liability if you cut off your finger as it is very sharp. It's probably best to keep it high up out of the reach of children. The fact that it's spicy means it can slice cucumbers, zucchini, cabbage, lettuce SUPER thin, perfect for dishes like Asian pickles or tzatziki salad and veggies in salad rolls. Great little slicer. I hope it lasts as long as its late predecessor.
