We took an old tube TV out of our van and decided to put a cabinet in the room. The opening was quite wide so we built a door to attach it out of plywood and thick maple paneling. We wanted the door to swing open like the cabinets next to it. We also wanted to mount a flat screen TV on the front door, which made it quite difficult. We bought some fabric chest closers but they weren't strong enough to support the weight of the door. We sent them back and bought these shelves. We are very pleased as the jambs are very strong and lightly hold the door but the door closes easily. We are very happy with our purchase as the length and strength are perfect for our application.
