I bought these a few months ago and they work as expected. Note that the filters will stretch a bit when wet compared to your old filters, so it may appear to have less material than the old filter. And even if there's less material, it doesn't mean they're defective, as long as they're tight enough on the water outlet. Also, any activated carbon filter will usually let in some activated carbon dust when it is first used. This happens, for example, with Brita filters (and I used the originals). Carbon fiber is completely non-toxic, but if you don't like it you can give it a little rinse before putting it in your car.
