A lot of the high school boys on my son's basketball team have been wearing knee pads or leggings with knee pads this year. We found that these kids looked much more confident when they were aggressive and chasing the ball because they weren't afraid of falling. Landing on your knees doesn't hurt. So we bought some for my son who is already aggressive but risks his knees a lot and he wears and loves them. He didn't complain that they made it difficult for him to walk or that they bothered him in any way. He's fallen a few times (it can be really tough in a hard-fought game at that age) and I breathed a sigh of relief to see him get up completely unharmed after landing on his knees. I highly recommend this product for any sports like volleyball, basketball and other sports for kids or adults. They are as light as they say and offer enough comfort to save a person from the usual bruises they get while playing.
