
I've used it twice. The first time I tried it with 9.5 kg. Boneless skinless chicken thighs with a medium cutting plate for use in pet food. There was a lot of fat and the plate was very clogged with it. I stopped the car, switched to a rough slab and finished with no problems. I would put the meat grinder in the freezer but not the meat. It was chilled but not frozen and I rinsed it before grinding. If it were colder, maybe it wouldn't clog up as badly. It took about half an hour including the time spent changing the disk. The second time I ground 2.5 pounds. very lean skinless turkey breast, so I trim off the fat. I used a medium plate and it still clogged up, but I still used the food scraper to push the meat around because I didn't have to grind as much. I was surprised that the average plate is also stuffed with low-fat turkey, but it's not scary, next time I'll take a coarse plate. It took me seven minutes to grind 2.5 pounds. Cleaning was easy with soap and water. I can't wait to make sausage!
