work, brightness can be adjusted. Tool marks on the electronics housing = already repaired?

They're small - and if you look at the product photos and see what a centimeter is you'll see that that's where the measurements are. BLACK WIRE is the positive wire. It seems very reversed to me, and I doubt there is any reverse polarity circuitry there to mitigate miswiring. Find out. It works as expected. Partially dimmable - blue night light is bright. Not sure if they are new and not refurbished judging by the obvious tool marks on the electronics case. Some spare thermal paste - yeah, I'm not sure if there's quality control. I could look at the electronics as someone has already built at least two of these, but why bother? I think I've seen enough to make sure they're cheaply made. 30 day guarantee is a shame. They use electricity even when they are off, so keep that in mind. As one person mentioned they used steel in the shaft which rules them out for boats as they rust. After replacing the block, I found that my tests were wrong. All three work as expected. I will keep them as they are and run as expected. Tool marks on the plastic are an issue, but based on my other research they at least have some protection in the lid - other models similar to this design don't have a plastic lid. Electronics durability can be an issue, but the price is good enough to keep it going.
