Don't knock off the chainring - but the washers in the kit didn't fit, they were a bit small. Also, before installing it on the car, I had to tighten the caliper bracket bolts to clean up the threads a bit as there was some powder coating on top of the threads. The rotors are marked on which side to mount them, so that's a good thing. There was no shim covering the parking brake adjustment hole so make sure to transfer this from your old rotor.
