Just received this LED battery light and installed it in the area of the truck body which was an abyss of darkness at night: there was nothing to see with the tonneau cover on and the truck designer couldn't see it . It should turn on the backlight, an item commonly found in most sedan trunks. The light is bright enough to illuminate the entire area of the bed when fully adjusted. I installed the bracket at the back of the bed on the right side by the back door and by the closed outlet. The mains plugs can be left in the socket and the mini plug can be inserted into the light to keep the lithium-ion battery charged. I leave the lamp attached to the bracket so I can reach the switch when I need light. The idea behind this product is that it can be detached from the clip and used as a flashlight when you need to illuminate another spot on the vehicle. It's not a cheap lamp, but it's very versatile and seems durable enough for in-car use, not to mention getting the job done in the lighting department. The combination of LiIon and high power LED technology creates an efficient product that should not overload your vehicle's electrical system. I was looking for this particular type of lamp and it seemed unique. Well done!
