Review on Enhanced Signal Boosting with Peripheral/PAC LD10 Line Driver by Kenkoy Braggs

Non-Automotive Application

I have successfully used this linear amplifier in a non-automotive application. It seems to work. Stations featuring our favorite online radio stations to listen to around the house. I built a relay box to route this sound both to the receiver when the receiver is on and directly to the transmitter when the receiver is off. For unknown reasons, there is an audio pad in the receiver for this input, which produces a drop of about 3 dB in the transmitter when the receiver is switched on. I used to use an old 9V radio shop mixer to try and boost the laptop sound in the receiver, but it turned out to be an active attenuator, not an active mixer, so there is no reinforcement. In fact, this device is a linear amplifier. For the peripherals in the stereo receiver, I already have a solid 12V DC power supply in the case, so powering this power supply is very easy. red and black wires are for DC input. By default, the gain is set to its maximum value, and at this setting there is some noise that indicates borderline fluctuations. Luckily the signal was too hot for the receiver so the trim controls are now set at about 40% to achieve unity in the FM transmitter. The signal is clear and the level change between direct feed and receiver to transmitter feed is imperceptible, and at a much lower cost than comparable line level amplifiers currently available. 3db to 6db line level signal which is the best proof I can provide.
