As this is a larger article I will share as many details as possible. It's 900 CRM for a 36 inch stove, it really cleans the air. Do you need such strong suction power? If like us you have an open plan kitchen and living space, yes. This hood replaced the one I bought from WAYFAIR which was a 650 CRM. Until I got this one, wow it really made a difference. As for the noise level, yes it's a bit louder (check out the attached video) but it's worth it. Construction, the first item I ordered arrived with an incomplete rivet on the back, but the seller quickly sent another one. The second arrived and there was a scratch on the side. So when you receive it, check it very carefully. Overall the design is very good, not great. The corners could be polished more. The suspension plate is screwed on, I want to weld it on. This is a heavy install, they supply plastic anchors but we bought metal butterfly anchors. It is firmly attached to the wall. Our ceilings are ten feet high and the extension chimney is more than long enough to reach the ceiling. This is a HUGE feature and saves a ton of money. They don't have a deal for a longer extension, which is expensive. The display is motion-sensitive, so if you're over six feet tall you'll likely turn it on with your skull. But you can cover the sensor with black tape. It comes with a remote control, good but probably not used. Cool little feature, when you turn off the lights they slowly go out. Do not put the impact filter in the dishwasher. Due to the heat and/or soap they may stain/etch the metal. Apply a degreaser (Simple Green, 409, or Awesome) and then hand wash. We are happy with the purchase. Very good value for money and I'm the guy who buys sh@#! of things.
