Honest. It probably won't do much. It makes a cool turbo whistle that you hear through the air intake. Volume and pitch are controlled with the right foot. No noticeable noise during WOT. I like it but some people hate it. In terms of performance, I don't see how this could work given the complicated design of new car air intakes (sharp turns and bends), let alone expelling only a small amount of air when the throttle isn't fully open. goes through those ridges on the top and bottom of your throttle body and doesn't go through the giant hole that houses the vortex inducing mold. On an older car with a large single-barrel carburetor bolted to this spacer, I could see how the swirl effect can help atomize the fuel and transfer the "swirl" directly to the intake ports. On newer car engines, fuel is either injected directly into the cylinder or right before the intake valve, so there is simply no splatter in the carburetor or intake manifold. Even if the swirling air enters the intake manifold like a tornado, due to the crazy new car intake shapes, it should magically maintain that shape and then magically split into 4, 6, or 8 mini tornadoes moving towards each cylinder . . where the flow is cut off abruptly every time the intake valves slam shut. Now, I also don't have a degree in airflow engineering or air intake design, so don't quote me, but it all just sounds impossible. Anyway I like the sound it makes and if it really helps with throttle or MPG response that's an added bonus but that's not what I bought it for. It's easy to delude yourself that there is more power here. New sound, great reviews, misleading Mfgr claims and potentially wasted $120. Until I see a dyno sheet before and after my production car, I just smile when the passengers ask "what's that noise" and swear it's my turbo.
