I've been looking for a separate monitor and laptop stand for a long time and recently came across this stand from WALI. For under $50 I was a little nervous about the quality before it arrived. I had no reason to worry. This is a RELIABLE installation. Everything is made of high quality metal and securely fixed when assembled. It took some effort to install, but that's only because I'm not the, uh, most detailed follower of the trend. Be sure to tighten the tray and rack screws first to prevent movement after assembly (don't ask me how I know). I have a 15 inch Asus laptop and the tab on the shelf holds it well. as long as I don't tilt it too far forward. But it's an unusually thick laptop bag, so I think most won't have a problem. Again, this isn't a problem for me at all, it just limits the angle I can tilt the tablet at a bit. If you are okay with the configuration shown in the main product image (e.g. a monitor over a tablet) then there is no problem. . My desk isn't that deep so I wanted them side by side. I was able to set it up out of the box this way. But my monitor was too big and cast a shadow on the laptop monitor in a side-by-side configuration. Support was kind enough to send me a second support post and screws, so I could use the hub and clamp base at the same time (since you can only use one or the other). Of course, only works if you already have a hole in the table (or want to make one yourself). Many thanks to the support team at VALI for including us. I use a bar table. If you're bothered by the movement while typing (I'm not), please note that there is a bit of wobbling, especially when standing. But for most, that shouldn't be a problem at all.
