This is my second TP-LINK router (the previous one was 741ND). User experience and reviews suggest that TP-LINK products are a lottery, that is, it is much more likely to grab a defective device than you usually stumble upon a marriage. The peculiarity of my 841 was the constant speed cutting. It almost held the providerโs speed of 70 Mbps, according to sensations, for ten minutes from turning on, after which the speed dropped to 30 Mbps, and a day later it did not rise above 8โ10 Mbps at all. All the settings, tips in the forums, resets and reboots did not give any other result: ten minutes after turning on the speed was about 60โ70 Mbps, then the router gave up and lowered the speed to the one that was already within its power (see above). After two months of bullying, I bought him an Apple Time Capsule to replace him and now I donโt know grief.
