I was looking for replacement parts for my Shark at local vacuum cleaner stores. Original spare parts are not available. So I had to go to the aftermarket and I'm glad it's available because I love my Shark vacuum. We got bad reviews for this part because people complained that the red button on the handle didn't work properly. Mine is actually very sturdy and works great. However, the bottom hose mount where it enters the vacuum was too big and sloppy and wouldn't snap into place. I had to resort to using duct tape to keep it in place. After I taped it in place, the suction was great. I am grateful that this part is available, however more care needs to be taken in production to ensure the parts fit. I ordered the correct model number. Best of all I don't have to buy a new $200 vacuum and worst of all you have to be a MacGyver to make sure all the parts work properly. A bit of tape This isn't a problem, but it's annoying when buying a new one.
