I bought this product for our RZR1000 when we installed the winch because I didn't want to run out of power when we needed it most! I've left Polaris power users on a Polaris battery and ALL aftermarkets use our 750CCA battery. All light bars, pens, cameras, etc. that were non-factory. Basically, I wanted two separate systems: factory and aftermarket. The only two places where the systems met were the +12V alternator and the chassis ground. I connected the Battery Doctor according to the manufacturer's instructions. so it wouldn't stay in the water if we were wading through a stream or running in the rain and there was moisture around it. Somehow it drained BOTH batteries within a month of installing it (maybe the red LED?!?) which was odd as the factory battery had never let me down and the larger battery was new and FULLY charged! Okay, so cheer on the RZR to start the weekend; disappointing but nonetheless to have fun. It rained while we were there, but we didn't ride through the water, it was just 100% humidity in the air! 2 days after returning home, the battery doctor himself died! It didn't run RZR from the AUX battery (second reason to install Dr, spontaneous jump when tshtf), NO red power LED, NO charging LED, NO shutdown LED when pressing the button; NOTHING! 🤯🤬😡😠 And both batteries are empty again, even after driving/charging the whole weekend! Two weeks to put it back in place, run wire #2 to make sure the food is where it needs to be, triple the price of the doctor himself. just get all the supplies and get everything installed properly and after 6 weeks he is dead?!? I would buy a 100A diode ahead of time and a 100A terminal block with a 100A relay to bypass the self-jumping diode! As it is I now have a battery tender hooked up 24/7 when I store it which I never needed before and a VERY EXPENSIVE (but fancy) terminal block next to my batteries! 😔 💸💸💸 DON'T THINK this device is waterproof, waterproof or NOTHING WET! If it's not in a vacuum, it WILL NOT let you down! It's more the wicked witch of the west than the doctor: he dies when water is near him!
