I award a solid 4 stars. I find the word "professional" far-fetched. Arches is my favorite watercolor paper. It is very absorbent with minimal creases. You really have to load it with water to see warping, and when it dries it flattens out again. Nice, slightly rough texture and definitely heavy. For the price I think it's a decent deal. I could compare it to Canson cold press but with an absorbency close to that of bee watercolor paper, which is love or hate. Depending on the project you are working on, there may be times when you are too absorbent. I bought it because I'm a big fan of this brand and I own most of their products. It didn't disappoint! It didn't impress me either. If you're looking for inexpensive watercolor paper, this is a good buy.
