This set of knives will perfectly complement our kitchen. They were sharp right away and have been sharp ever since. I've sharpened a few times just to see how well the sharpener works. It's sooooo simple and easy to use, and the knives are even sharper. We love the one piece design that prevents water/bacteria from building up under the handle. We haven't had any rusting/staining issues after putting them in the dishwasher (probably depends on the hardness of your water and if you use a heated drying cycle like we do). We highly recommend this purchase.
