This was the second replacement I tried. The first was too short, and the specs on the website didn't provide exact dimensions. This is ideal for replacing the Aqua Source shower cartridge with a total length of 5 1/2 inches and a diameter of 40 millimeters. You will need to turn off the main water source and remove the cartridge to see the correct length and diameter to get the correct cartridge to fit your current shower faucet. I'm not a plumber and my house technician said it would cost me between $300 and $600 and I could do it myself by ordering Revain. As long as you have the right measurements, this is possible. In my case, the shower cartridge washers melted and no hot water came out of the shower head (one of the pictures shows black small melted cartridges). Washers were not sold separately. Local hardware stores (there are 3 of them) wished me luck. Has been working great for a month now. The water flows beautifully and with pressure, the woman is happy.
