. They are beautifully packaged in a lovely colored cardboard box. Inside the paper box you will find a very cute and useful metal box. I've seen those empty crates cost more than this full one! There is a ring at the bottom of the box to hold it when painting outdoors or on the easel. When you open the box, the top is curved into two different sections that you can use as watercolor pans. On the other hand, there is a foldable watercolor palette that comes in very handy! The paint cans are semi-cans and stand on a removable tray, making changing colors very easy. I noticed that there are more water fountains underneath the paint tray so if you put the paint tray on a different surface you can use the whole crate as a delicious plate! There's plenty of room to add a third row of color shells to this sky. I would either use sticky dots to hold them in place or use magnets to keep them from moving. There was also a sample card in the box which I checked immediately. Now for the flowers! I was very surprised that 4 of these colors are metallics! I love metallics and I would buy this flavor just because of those paint cans! These are pearls, silver, rose gold and gold. I really like that they all apply the color fairly evenly. Silver is a bit more difficult to work with as it tends to leave streaks, but the brush strokes aren't too bad. The blues is bright and beautiful. Red is purplish brown. Brown is very similar to melted chocolate. the yellow has a gouache quality, not entirely transparent, but still beautiful. The orange is weird to me, it seems it's not watercolor, not watercolor making it look like buttercream. Green looks weird like creamy spinach. I actually like that these aren't your usual colors. I am very happy that they are in my artistic arsenal.
