Review on Canson Artist Watercolor Side Wire by Diana Kemmler

I thought I would like this watercolor paper but honestly no. It curves and takes on a "U" shape at the first thin stream of water, which my tape has a hard time holding. It beads up after the 2nd or 3rd wash (even with an intermediate blow dryer) and my paint lays on it horribly, the absorbency is uneven and it soaks up water quickly (in the middle of the wash everything was dry on one side and needs to be moistened again, that will rub the paper). Maybe I'm doing something wrong, but I certainly won't recommend it. I've had better luck with mixed media. It's impossible to get an even color, the gradients are uneven and blotchy, which is sad. I will use it for practice but not for drawing. I'll go with another brand and hopefully have better luck. The paper is so grainy. I hope it's just me, but if not I don't recommend using this paper.
