I bought this because my power supply only had a 6 pin PCIE connector when I needed two. Works, but only with decent power supplies. Make sure your power supply can supply enough current for the 12V rail before attempting this. Surprisingly many power supplies from other manufacturers only output 5.6V to the 12V rail and this can result in the graphics card you are running this with not even booting when trying this item.
