Mech. They are good and the kids love them. But they don't work on the Micro Mini Original Scooter without adjustable handlebars. The bracket is too big for this scooter. I had to wrap hockey tape around the tube until it was thick enough to keep the hoop from falling over. The bracket has two spacer rings which are designed to adjust the bracket to fit different pipe diameters, but one ring is plastic and the other is rubber. The plastic ones are too slippery and keep slipping out of the holder. On scooters with adjustable handlebars, the basket rests on the adjustment clamp, but the bracket is not long enough to fully clear the step in the adjustable handlebar tube, causing the basket to sit slightly crooked. In addition, the design of the mount is upside down. The basket slides up the bracket and is held in place by friction. So if you put something heavy in it, like a water bottle. The basket can fall off the bracket. Bad design with very little thought.
