Review on FOMTOR Universal Aluminum Alloy Bike Brake Levers - Mountain Bike, Kids Bike, Folding Bike, MTB BMX - 2.5 Finger Brake Handle (2.2cm) by Steven Brouillard

Bought these for my 10 year old son's Mongoose BMX bike. The original brake levers had some rust and damage from multiple impacts and were difficult to pull on the lever, making braking difficult. My son hit the brake levers and just didn't stop very quickly. So I bought them based on the reviews. They are of good quality. I'm not particularly mechanical, but I was able to replace them in about 1 hour of work. The hardest part was getting the front handles off because you have to slide the (metal) O-ring to do it. ) along the length of the rudder. I was afraid they would break if I opened them all the way. Had I known, I would have just cut off the old grips and bought new ones that were easier to slide over the handlebar tube. The brake levers worked great but the braking is still not great so I'll try to replace the brake pads now.
