3M continues to impress me. Pretty much the deciding factor in trying this thing out was having the 3M name written on it. Any excellent reviews will also be taken into account. I have hard water where I live. He penetrates everything. Didn't want to mess with the big salt system. This system works great. After a month the limescale on my showerheads and plumbing was almost gone (it was always there). The water feels better. I have a 3 bath home with 5 active adults and a recirculating hot water system (the water heater (tank) is in a garage separate from the main house). Fingers crossed this lasts the recommended six months. I have a suggestion: install a check valve just before the cartridge. If the filter housing is punctured, the hot water supply must be turned off before installing the replacement cartridge.
