It was working when I received it, but after writing it several times over the course of a few days, an error code appeared indicating that the hard drive was damaged. I couldn't format/partition it properly on Windows 10 (using the command line format drive) or macOS Mojave (using Disk Utility). I even tried reformatting the SSD on my Lenovo tablet but that didn't work either. It must have been a hardware failure. I went online to find different SSD recovery methods but nothing worked. I couldn't erase what was on the disk, and I couldn't add anything to it. It looked like he was erasing or writing, but nothing changed after he removed and reinserted the drive. This is the first SSD I've had problems with. I have about four of these (no PNYs), one in each of my Playstations (3 and 4) and a couple of external SSDs for backups. I like them because they're fast and generally trouble-free. I did not drop this disc or place it near magnetic objects. It just failed in itself. I am not replacing it with another PNY. I go with another brand of SSD. I'm not upset, just disappointed. To be honest, I thought SSDs were bulletproof and had no moving parts.
