I bought this to attach to my laptop screen so it would light up the camera which is on the top edge. It worked well but wasn't particularly bright. People couldn't tell for sure, probably because I was sitting away from the screen. However, it works well on mobile if you record videos from there. I liked the warm tone and brightness control. I also left it on so it wouldn't drain the battery on long calls. I ended up buying an 11 inch ring light with a DC connection (no battery) which is much brighter.
