Ok endure a long review but I think it will help a lot of people. I've been busy with monitors in the last few weeks. I have a 2021 MacBook Pro M1 13" that I use in clamshell mode with a docking station, as well as an Xbox Series X. After lots of headaches and banging my head against the wall, I finally settled on the M32Q. I would consider myself an average user for monitor needs (small jobs, web browsing and some weekend gaming) I'm coming from a curved monitor with a 1080p 34" 60Hz VA ultrawide panel that worked fine for my MacBook Pro M1 but due to didn't work with my Xbox Series X due to the lack of ultrawide support. I used a 4k Vizio TV (obviously 60Hz) for Xbox but wanted an all in one station. In my research I found that Macs struggle with a typical 27-32 inch 4k display due to screen scaling issues so I would have to buy a 5k display to get the ideal 220 PPI. a line of Macs that cost over $1,000. Macs also work great at 120 PPI (or lower). Unfortunately, that mid-range just isn't supported as well on 4k monitors. 1440p has always been the best of both worlds between 4k and 1080p, plus you get a higher refresh rate for a decent price. The M32Q has around 93 pixels per inch, which wasn't that far off in terms of pixel density compared to my 4k 43-inch Vizio TV that I used to play. I received my M32Q well packaged and well protected. Despite the fact that I have it on a Vesa mount, the stand feels solid and high quality. I plugged everything in and connected my computer and Xbox. My Mac recognized the display with no problems and right out of the box it displays full 1440p resolution with a 144Hz refresh rate. No dead pixels and bleeding areas or corners! To me the text looks fine and there is no discernible red/green outline around the text. Keep in mind that I sit 2 to 2.5 feet from the monitor. The brightness is great and everything is adjustable via an easy to use joystick controlled menu. For what I do with my Mac and for work, I couldn't be happier! Then I connected my Xbox. I went into the display settings and changed it to 1440p at 120Hz and everything was recognized with no problems. The game was a real pleasure. Everything was so smooth and I wish I had a high refresh rate display sooner! I don't really use the KVM features, but maybe in the future. Overall, this is a really great monitor and I'm incredibly happy with it. Here you see mixed reviews on various quality issues that might be valid (maybe I won the panel lottery). In my opinion, there are also small sophistry in these reviews. I think if you unpack the monitor and start looking for problems, you will find them. I'm just a casual user who appreciates a nice big display with good colors and a high refresh rate for weekend Halo games. And for that it works perfectly. In addition, the price is unbeatable. Final Thoughts. I think this is a good product and I would recommend it for the average user. I'm sure a 27 inch monitor would look even better with more pixel density, but if you like bigger monitors this is a good choice. It's feature-packed and doesn't look obnoxious (no RGB or crazy plastic back). like the Samsung Odyssey). Work and play, this monitor does it all and does it well.
