Review on 🔧 Allstar ALL44028 Bead Breaker: Adjustable Steel Tool for 10/13/15-inch Wheels, with Black Powder-Coat Finish - A Review by Mark Harris

This is an overview of the Allstar Wide Jaw Cutter. The item pictured in the description was zinc chromate but the item I received was painted gloss black. I would have preferred a ZnCrO4 coating as the black paintwork was already worn in places before opening the box and after applying it to four tires the paintwork got even worse. I don't think this will affect the usability of the item but it doesn't look as good as the item I thought I would buy. I wonder if worn paint will cause rust problems in the future. Anyway, as a performance review, he runs like a champ. I've used it to bust the beads on four light truck mud tires and it couldn't be easier. I've read reviews that said the hook that lifts the opposite side of the wheel flexes easily, but I had no sign of flexing or even that part was overloaded. I have no doubt that the hook is strong enough for whatever tires I will be working with. I wish this article was more compact. I see no reason for the three main parts to separate so much when collapsing to their smallest size. You would think that they could design the arms to fold down to a much more compact size for transport in a truck or jeep when driving off-road. In fact, my brother has a similar item that he paid way more money for (it stretches up to 19" wheels) and it REALLY folds into a very tight block. Fits very well under the seat of his truck. This one: not so much. If you're looking for a border that can get through a tough job quickly, it's hard to beat.
