I had a Netgear router (WGT 643 v3) that I bought on Black Friday 2006. When I wired it to my desktop and used wireless for my laptop, it was normal for a laptop, not to mention frequent crashes, but my desktop had a frustrating load of everything. Then we go and come back to connect both computers with a cable. Before I bought this computer I read some of the reviews on here, especially the negative ones, and I was concerned if it would work for me. The day I received it there was no problem. Setup is easy with the CD. My biggest concern is that I have an internet phone router (no connection) that needs to connect directly to the cable modem, then each router connects to that phone router, and I think that's why my old Netgear router had problems. However, with this D-Link, my desktop computer has had smooth and fast download speeds for websites and Internet streaming, and my laptop (SONY VAIO NS 110E) can perform the same functions (online video streaming) without any problems. At the moment I haven't figured out how to toggle between two panes and disk sharing, but it's great that it works now.
