Revane says it's a quart. It's definitely not enough. I haven't seen a 1 liter bread pan on Emile Henry's website. The smallest was 1.25 litres, so I'm not sure if they are the same. Still, I love this pan. It's more like a traditionally shaped loaf of bread. The oven baking time and temperature are the same as in my stainless steel pan. I use less than 1/2 teaspoon coconut oil to grease the ceramic (I'm not a fan of parchment paper), the bread comes out very easily and browns well. The pan is very easy to clean. I am happy with my purchase.
