Review on πŸ“ OXO Good Grips 1lb Healthy Portions Scale by April Simpson

Revainrating 4 out of 5

I love the portability and the fact that it doesn't use batteries!

PROS: I love this scale. I wish it weighed 2-3 pounds instead of a pound, but it's actually meant for portion scales and I don't think anyone eats more than a pound at a time! I use them as a kitchen scale. for baking and cooking, and I really like that I don't have to keep changing batteries. The scales are very light. The weighing pan mounts upside down on the scale, so it's all about this tiny, tortoiseshell, portable device that fits in your hand and, they tout, fits easily in your wallet or pocket when you're using it for counting calories. A: Sometimes I've seen it get a little "sticky" when measuring very small amounts, say less than 15-20g, so I converted tiny measurements and used a measuring spoon instead. I also don't like how close the labels are. Therefore, it is very difficult to measure, for example, 30g, which is two very small lines of 50g.

Pros
  • Tray securely snaps to base for compact storage
Cons
  • Sad packaging
