Review on 🚲 Garmin Edge 510 GPS Bike Computer Review: Discontinued but Reliable! by Henry Brown

Didn't work for me! So I'm sending it back after less than a month of use. Luckily I still have time for a full refund. The Garmin device did not always sync with my iPhone. Sometimes it worked, sometimes not. It also didn't always record travel dates. I immediately encountered "corrupt files", "sync errors" and "cannot access server". I did a little research after the race failed to load and found that many others were having the same issues, as well as other issues I suspect I'll run into once I leave this device. So goodbye 510 and back to Strava on my iPhone. The main reason I bought this item was the very enthusiastic review here on Revain. You can find it easily as it is well written and basically meant to debunk all the negative reviews and explain how to sync to Strava etc. Unfortunately, my experience did not match this review. Yes, the 510 has interesting features. No, it is not stable. Cool features mean nothing if you spend hours uploading and syncing, or worse, your travel file is corrupted and you've lost all your data. sensor and heart rate monitor. It was well packed. The instruction manual was enough to get you started and the full manual is available online. BUT. The above issues combined with the LOTS of negative reviews of this device online mean that I cannot recommend it for purchase. I bought this device to get MORE data on my travels, not NO data. Honestly, if you just need basic tracking of your ride, this Garmin is the solution to finding the problem. Just use your phone and the Strava app. Grab a cheap iPhone charger and cables for long trips. My battery and cable probably weigh less than this unit and easily fit in a saddlebag or hydration pack. Garmin or something. Just not the one I'm sending back.YMMV
