I bought this because my previous escort was stolen from my carport by the poor while it was in my car. In this case I didn't like it, darling; this one costs $13. Its display indicators are simple - charge and terminate, plus a reverse polarity indicator, which I doubt I'll ever need since my car batteries are well labeled, as are my battery terminals. Wiring is fairly light, but should be enough for 0.75 amps. Love the fact that they include both battery clips and a permanent connection protected by a fuse in case someone keeps non-car batteries charged. Getting out is less convenient for car charging, as you have to run an extension cord up to the hood of the car. At least that's how it's been for me since I've been charging in the driveway. I suppose if you have a garage and a plug nearby and aren't afraid of tripping over a cord then that might be fine, but I still think this sort of design with plug pins straight out of the box stand out is not so desirable. The indicator light is almost too dim to see in daylight, which is a shame. Good inside. When charging my wife's car, the yellow light never turned green, so it remains to be seen if that will ever happen. When the charger was disconnected her battery showed 12.93V so it looks like the charger should have gone into standby mode by then but it was still charging. So 4 stars for now and I'll come back to it with updated concepts. . I like the 3 year warranty they claim and it would be great if they honored it although as mentioned my last one was stolen. After all, this one costs $13 instead of $40 like this one. UPDATE 18/11/20 I contacted the seller and got a reply the next day so good support. They provided information on voltage switching points so I tested it on a 12v gel battery and it actually worked great charging it and then switching back to maintained voltage. So, based on low price, features, dual cord options. , long warranty and good seller support, I upgraded my rating to 5 stars and I think it's the price leader for now if you don't want to spend a lot of money on one of these. As a side note, it doesn't charge or shut off as quickly as my previous charger that was rated at 0.75 amps, but I think it's probably due to a different cutoff voltage, which I agree with.
