Perfect fit for my 2011 Honda Pilot

worked great. My original key was from a 2011 Honda Pilot. My key blade and module were fine - the outer casing broke - right at the junction of the key's metal blade and casing - this is not uncommon. ) redesigned the transponder chip and placed it in the key (when I say "key" here, I mean the whole thing - the module, the chip, the outer case and the metal blade). For a 2011 Honda Pilot, a chip (an electronic device that communicates with another component in the ignition and allows you to actually start the truck) and a door opener/key fob (or whatever you want to call it - a module , which has buttons to lock/unlock the truck door and battery holders) are one piece. So if your key case is broken, you can take out the module (again, the transponder chip is inside) and the metal blade (the metal part of the key) and insert it into the Stauber product. The kit includes three small "shims" that can be used in case your key doesn't fit perfectly. I didn't have to use it. When finished it will be slightly larger than your original key but will work great. The four screws that came with it went in without incident and I saved myself a lot of money.

Pros
  • nice item
Cons
  • keep quiet
