Review on WiFi router TP-LINK Archer AX73, black by Athit Boonnoon PK ᠌

Revainrating 2 out of 5

I didn't like it, I don't recommend buying.

I decided to ate the router when moving, I read and heard a lot of laudatory reviews about TP-Links, the choice fell not on this device. I replaced the old Kinetic, set everything up according to the manual, tested all the speeds via Wi-Fi in all corners of the still old apartment. With Wi-Fi chic, the speed increased by 2.5 times compared to Kinetic, everything flies and flutters, wonderful. The incident happened when a stationary PC was connected to the router using a cable (from the kit, of course) - the speed dipped every N-th time, the pings were outrageous, obviously some kind of glitches. The whole evening of picking with the provider’s TP, the whole morning of picking with the TP-Link TP sent me to check the operation mode of the Lan ports of the router and the network card in MANUAL mode. Gigabit, full duplex, 100mb/full duplex and other modes, apparently the router and the network card cannot agree on the operating mode, hence the glitches. When returning to the Kinetic (previously reset to the factory), there are 0 problems, everything flies according to the lan with three different cables. The question arises - why does a manufacturer bring a raw product with raw firmware to the market?

Pros
  • Wi-Fi of excellent quality
Cons
  • Terribly raw firmware.
