It's amazing for rats! My girls love theirs so much I get more for my boys (who are in a separate cage). I'm a large size and it's big enough that 3 adult female rats can fit in comfortably, so it's probably enough for 2 male rats or 3 male rats who don't mind laying on top of each other a bit. !I like that it's very soft (made of a bit thick plush material) but keeps its shape so the rat feels safe in it. Also, the clasps aren't in a place for a rat to chew on them, so you don't have to worry about them falling off or getting damaged too quickly. I am very happy with this purchase and would highly recommend it to rat parents. If you have rats I would suggest getting a big one to give them more space. My tallest girl is 586g and she has so much space in there that she can comfortably stretch out, roll over, wash, eat and hide noodles in it :)
