Review on 🌬️ Emerson Quiet Kool 5,000 BTU Window Air Conditioner with Remote Control, EARC5RD1, White - 115V by Crystal Harrison

Bought for the bedroom. It's been about a year and it's working great. Really about the same noise as every other 5000 I've had. But where it really shines is in power consumption. I bought it to use as the main hurricane air conditioner for my generator as I can't use the main system like his 220's. So my wife and I live on this alternator in the bedroom until power is restored. I'm an engineer and I have a very accurate load tester that he can use to measure his current. At start it measures a very fast compressor starting current of 5A, which quickly stabilizes to 3.1A in cool mode at low AC voltage, which is about half what a normal 5000 draws. This unit has a year of very good service is working. I recommend it. Update: 5/29/21 3rd year with this AC, no problem we use it every night. I'm afraid we're going to have to deploy a hurricane here in Florida this year.
