I bought this product for my leopard gecko and it has worked great for him. It would shut itself off automatically if it got too hot, and it almost never got hot anywhere else in the tank. However, after a few months, it shut down much quicker than before, and the stone wasn't even warm. Now it won't heat up several degrees above room temperature without an auto shut off. I'm not saying this is a bad product. In fact, this is possibly the safest heating stone available, but I don't recommend leaving it on 24/7 or it will eventually fail. I would personally recommend anyone buying this to pair it with some sort of timer. All in all it works great but it could take longer.
