Review on 🎢 Bose Wave Music System III: Unparalleled Sound Experience Transformed by Luis Baker

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Realize that it's just a $500 radio in the long run.

When mine arrived in April '15 it was disassembled, with no cushioning packing material, in a Bose box. I noticed it had a return address: a Bose return and replacement address. I plugged it in and tried it and the CD player worked fine for about a year then it started skipping tracks or just flashing the read CD but never played. CD playback was erratic, and sometimes it would play it on the first try with no problems. These CDs are in perfect condition, no scratches etc. After about 2 years it still plays some CDs with no problems and after a few days it stops playing the same CDs. I bought a separate 2 year service and was ready to send it back and it started playing CDs fine so unfortunately and I guess what the non-Bose seller of this extra case is hoping I'm not I can can't send it so I can now Stuck on the Bose Wave Music System III. I've found that sometimes you can switch between radio and CD and potentially skip tracks back and forth if the audio is "shorted". Sometimes it plays back fine after some internal looping. I wouldn't buy it again, of course I would find something like this for $500 to try, and maybe it wouldn't fail so quickly by spending $500 on a supposedly high quality branded product. Just checked the Bose box it arrived in and saw a sealed Bose introductory CD for the Bose Wave Music System III. I removed the plastic shrink wrap, opened it up and inserted it into my Bose Wave Music System III CD player and after a few seconds of clicking the message UNPLAYABLE appeared on the display. :(
