Revainrating 5 out of 5

What counts is the humour.

Sarcastic or not, they're not really sarcastic but they're cute. In fact, it took me ages to make this topic look like humor. And there I am working on a project, a simple one that I started a little over a year ago. Yarn bag for a neighbor. HAHAHA. Thankfully, this is a creative project and gift that no one is paying me for. On the other hand, I might have if I had been paid. Who knows, it's one of those things that if anything could go wrong, it went wrong at every turn, and it was just amazing. I ordered two meters of PINK Cordura 500D but they sent one meter and said they were out of stock. One doesn't work, I need two. So ok I have ordered canvas and ripstop nylon for the lining and due to Covid the order is going into a 16 week hold. When it arrived the canvas was awful, more cream than pink and the pink ripstop clashed with everything as it looks more like purple than pink. OK, try my favorite fabric store in Washington and it'll pass for sure. Claims to be a medium weight cloth. I order two yards and it arrives and it's PLASTIC and so thin you can see through it. Shipping also took 2 months and I'm only in one condition. OH GOD. I insist and order another lining and two fabrics from Revain, thinking I can't go wrong this time. I know I spoke too soon. The bottom line is that neither element really looks good together. I end up making the item out of Revain fabric which is a deep crimson rather than a nice solid pink. Not so pastel, it's off-white and not hot pink, more like purple etc. But the lining doesn't match any of the things in the backpack. So I have a solution for this, I ordered a white ripstop and will use it. Not my first choice, but at this point in the game, beggars can't choose. And I'm standing on the edge of the abyss, so to speak, or at least that's where the threads are running out. And then I stumbled upon these little gems of labels with cute writing that are sooooo accurate in this case. I'll sew one in her bag and then give her half of it as part of her goodies I've collected to complete her yarn bag. She makes all kinds of yarn projects and sells them so no doubt they will bring her joy and a bit of whimsy in her creations and gifts. They're really overpriced for what they are, but still very cute. I create personalized labels and may one day include something similar in some of my created labels. At the moment they are perfect and satisfy this need.
