Review on 🍡 Demeyere Resto 2.6 Quart Whistling Kettle by Wendy Smith

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Excellent teapot but didn't even last ten years

I found my teapot! I've forgotten the name of the brand forever, but I bought this particular one in Sur la table in 2004. This is a great kettle and after six years of heavy use either mineral deposits or something in chunks (!) like flakes of dried paint began to flow out of it. But that's after six full years of serious operation. Also, it's faded and beyond repair. Still looks good just can't polish it to new condition. The kitchen looks great modern and classic. I am accident prone and have only burned myself once in over 3000 uses. For a clumsy guy like me, it's important that I never have to touch the spout. I only put on a spout/pipe if it just looks nice. The strength of this type of stainless steel is remarkable. I'm about to buy another one.
