Review on Walker 40248 Quiet Flow Stainless Assembly by Marcus Freeman

Excellent fit for 2000 Dodge Dakota 4x4 Quad Cab with 5.9L engine (over 160,000 miles). The sound is similar to the OEM, if not a little quieter. Not sure why one review says it was louder? It's a bit confusing which end is the entrance. The word Inlet is stamped on one end but has an arrow pointing to the other end. I wasn't sure if the arrow was pointing to the other end or indicating airflow. With a flashlight I could see the innards and realized the arrow was pointing to the inlet end. Maybe another reviewer installed it backwards? The old pipes under the truck were in excellent condition and needed some filing to smooth the edges. There was a small imperfection on one of the pipes on the new muffler, but a few taps with a hammer smoothed it out. Made a test landing and everything is ready for installation. Went to a car shop and bought two 2 1/2" clamps and some exhaust sealant. 10 minutes later I installed the muffler. Prices!
